Mentor and student

Create the bond, understand its indicator and learn to use the reunion scroll.

Mentor and Student links two characters to support their progress. The relationship is created through an accepted invitation; entering another player’s name or forming a party is not enough.

Step by step

  1. Talk to MasterStudent. The NPC shows whether you already have a relationship and your partner’s details. To propose a bond, use the action to link a student.
  2. Enter the student’s name. Enter the correct character name. The invited player receives a request and must accept it for the bond to exist.
  3. Check the indicator. When your partner is online, their icon appears in the effects area, along with a top bar showing their name, level and location. Hover over the icon to see the experience conditions.
  4. Stay within the required distance while hunting. The experience benefit depends on range and the bond’s conditions. A visible top bar does not mean the benefit is active.
  5. Use the scroll to reunite. With a valid relationship, right-click MasterTeleport in your inventory. If the destination and conditions are valid, travel is immediate and consumes one scroll.

Understanding the experience benefit

The mentor and student do not necessarily receive the same effect. The indicator shows your partner’s role and the bonus or share that applies to your character under the server’s configuration.

Outside experience range, the icon dims and indicates that the benefit is inactive. The location bar may remain visible even when you are far apart. Experience percentages cannot be inferred from the other character’s level.

Scroll restrictions

The scroll is consumed only when teleportation succeeds. If your partner is offline or the map prevents travel, check the reason rather than spending other scrolls trying to force it.

  • Your partner must be online and the relationship must be valid.
  • Death and level or instance restrictions may prevent travel.
  • Both the departure and destination maps must allow Mentor/Student teleportation.
  • There is a delay between attempts; using several scrolls quickly does not remove this restriction.

Graduation and ending the relationship

A graduated relationship may retain your partner’s information and scroll access while no longer granting training experience. Graduation is different from unlinking.

To end the bond, talk to the NPC and select Desvincular (Unlink). Read and accept the confirmation. Once the relationship ends, its indicators disappear and the scroll no longer takes you to that partner.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to be in a party?

The Mentor and Student system has its own conditions. Forming a party does not replace an accepted bond or the experience range requirement.

Why can I see the bar without receiving the benefit?

Check the icon and its description: you may be out of range or in a graduated relationship.

Is the scroll lost if the map blocks travel?

No. It is consumed only when teleportation succeeds.
